3 of Our Favorite Wedding Day Traditions on The Farm

As time has gone by, we’ve developed our own unique set of traditions on The Farm. And while there are many different ways to make your wedding day a memorable event, these capture some of the essence of why this place is so special. Here are three of our favorite wedding day traditions on The Farm.

Pose for a Dip Kiss in Front of the Chapel After Saying, “I Do”

Our waterfront outdoor chapel is the perfect place to say your vows. The lake behind you, the waterfall flowing next to you…the beauty of the surrounding landscape makes for a truly memorable event. Shortly after the ceremony wraps up, stop halfway down the aisle and pose for a newlywed dip kiss. It makes for a great moment for your guests and a memorable wedding photo you’ll enjoy the rest of your lives together.

Celebrate by Ringing the Chapel Bell

Hands down, James and Susan’s (our property caretakers) favorite tradition on The Farm is for newlyweds to celebrate by ringing the chapel bell. Do it while taking photos before the wedding ceremony, shortly after saying, “I do” while your guests are nearby, or steal a few private moments together during the reception to take in the sunset views over the lake. Whenever you choose to ring the bell, it will be a special moment together.

Go Out in Style with a Sparkler Exit

You and your guests have danced the night away during an evening under the stars and now it’s time for you and your spouse (whoa…that was weird to say wasn’t it) to depart for the evening. So why not cap off the event by going out in style? Open the barn doors, have your wedding guests line up along the covered breezeway and get sent off via a sparkler exit that ushers you into a new life together.
