12 Things to do During Your Stay on The Farm (at our Ranch House On-Site Accommodations)
If you are like many of our clients, you decided to book the Ranch House for your weekend event. Great choice! While the most important thing is having convenient overnight accommodations for you, your bridal party and/or out of town guests, there are lots of fun and memory filled things to do during your stay on The Farm.
Celebrate the Occasion at the Large Custom Built-In Bar

Overlooking the large and spacious living room, the large custom built-in bar is the perfect spot to hang out with family and friends, celebrating the special occasion. You are sure to share a lot of laughs and make some long lasting memories.
Take a Stroll Down the Private Drive and Watch the Sun Set Over the Lake

One of the things we continue to hear from clients is that they enjoy taking long walks on the property. Whether it’s to get in some exercise, enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, to spend some time with loved ones or perhaps all three, The Farm is a great place to take a stroll. One of the best times of day to do so is at sunset, when the blue sky turns into brilliant shades of yellow, orange, red and purple. Grab a seat lakeside in the Adirondack chairs during “the golden hour”…you won’t regret it!
Build a Fire at the Firepit

After the sun sets, get a fire going at the firepit and watch the stars come out. Bring a wireless speaker with you so you can listen to good tunes while you hang out with your family and friends. This is hands down one of our favorite things to do on The Farm. If you haven’t spent much time out in the country lately, you won’t believe how much the night sky lights up after dark.
Fish at the Lake

Every fisherman dreams of catching a big, large mouth bass. But how big is big? Only 1-2% of all largemouth bass reach the 5 lb mark. That in and of itself is a feat worth celebrating. During a guy’s event at The Farm this past summer, one of the guys caught an 8 lb largemouth bass! He released the fish back in the lake, and soon after (not more than 10 minutes later), he pulled out this 12 pounder right by the chapel! Since every fisherman has heard plenty of tall tales, we made sure we have the photos to prove it. The lake also has plenty of catfish and brim. *Catch and release only please!
Play a Pickup Game of Basketball…or Around the World…or H.O.R.S.E.
In-ground adjustable basketball goal is the perfect excuse to play a game of pickup with family and friends
Our in-ground adjustable basketball goal makes it easy for the fellas to play a few pick-up games of basketball. Or if you have some young kids staying for the weekend, it’s a great way to burn off some energy outdoors. Raise it high or lower it down quickly and easily relative to who is playing.
Play a Game of Horseshoes
Just off the back patio, you’ll find a regulation size horseshoe pit. It’s probably been years since you’ve played or maybe you never have…either way, have some fun with family and friends by playing a game or two while you enjoy an evening on The Farm.

The weekend of your wedding is sure to be a busy few days full of places to go, things to do and people to see. Take some time to yourself and cozy up to a good book for a few hours, finding some much-needed R&R before the big event.
Watch “The Game”

So, you booked your wedding date a long way out only to find that the big game is on the same weekend. What do you do?!?!? Thankfully, there are multiple 4K TVs (all have Roku) throughout the house so you don’t miss it. The large, open living room is spacious enough for your entire group to hang out and watch together.
Sit Down to a Family Meal

For many of us, weddings and special events are a rare moment where we get to bring together a group of family and friends that don’t get to see each other often. One of the best ways to soak up this precious time is to sit down and share a meal together. Our large, Ethan Allen dining room table can seat up to 12 guests. Bon appétit!
Get Ready on Your Wedding Day

While the venue comes complete with a large bridal suite and groomsmen cottage, there is no reason why you and your bridal party can’t start the day by getting ready at the Ranch House.
